The Journey - The Present

Now is a very exciting time for us at The Forbidden Fruit. I don’t think the staff know what they are beginning to achieve. My staff have no previous experience in the business concepts we are now implementing. To be honest, I myself have no experience either but I have the vision, and I have a clear picture of how it will all turn out. I am working hard to better understand all the business ideas I am implementing, but it is all trial and error, hopefully with the most positive of results. I think I will even surpass my own visions with the results of our hard work to establish a strong business base.

The nature of my job within the business is evolving on a regular basis. I have found this to be quite challenging. I didn’t realise I had a continually changing ‘job description’ until just this year, when I was starting to look at job descriptions for all my staff. I suppose on one hand it makes it difficult to learn your job when you don’t even necessarily know exactly what it is. But over the years as the owner of the business you just take every challenge as it comes, because you are forced to in the process of decision-making. This continually changing job is one of the reasons I have continued, because it has made it more challenging and interesting.
