Welcome to Forbidden Fruit
My goals in life revolve around wanting to help people in need. Helping people gives you possibly the greatest joy in life. I once heard that you couldn’t help the poor if you were one yourself. Thus my goal for now is to become prosperous in both mind and money. I have the energy and desire to achieve and as I do I will succeed in helping many people in the process.
In the movie The Field of Dreams, with Kevin Costner, he hears a whisper; “If you build the field, they will come”. It was a movie about people following their dreams. The end result was a baseball field built, in the middle of his cornfield, so that the ghosts of legends could play and Kevin could live out one of his childhood dreams of playing baseball with his childhood hero.
This movie inspired me, and I have always used the quote above in the context of my ideas and the resultant shop. I set about to establish a fantasy land, a place of mystery, a little wonderland, to fill it with all the best valued produce I could find that would leave through the front door with a happy and satisfied customer. I always knew that if I did everything right, if I built my field, then they (my customers) would come, and it’s working!
